I’m going to write on topics related to my work and studies.
Currently I work for Cisco, in Australia, and have responsibility for our local efforts to improve how we work with service providers and channel partners who themselves offer managed services to the market. My remit is geographically bound, but my scope of concern is across Asia-Pacific. I am not in the product side of the organisation, but in Cisco Services.
I’m involved in initiatives to more broadly offer utility-styled pricing capability for hardware and services, and combinations therefore. Sometimes called consumption-based pricing. I’ll write about the various dimensions to this kind of commercial construct.
I will also handle deals which include complex structure or require variable pricing models, sometimes by simply checking in or possibly will form and run a pursuit team.
I have to be careful about what I write here since I’m not an authorised media representative for Cisco nor is this an official blog; these is my personal views. I am watchful to not disclose anything approaching information that might help a competitor.
I’m also studying a Master of Strategic Planning, just started really. This is a follow-up to my MBA completed five years ago.
